Crewe Renal Dialysis Unit
The Renal Dialysis Unit is situated within Leighton Hospital and is run by Clinic Manager Khaled Mnaizil and his team of specialist Haemodialysis Nurses and Dialysis Assistants. They will facilitate your dialysis and address any concerns you may have, these may be escalated to our Haemodialysis Doctor if deemed necessary.

How many dialysis stations does this unit have?
At Leighton Hospital the Renal Dialysis Unit consists of 18 dialysis stations including 2 side rooms.
What are the unit opening hours?
The unit operates 6 days a week. We operate two shifts, Monday to Saturday, opening at 6.30am and closes at 6pm.
Can I eat and drink?
On dialysis our patients receive tea and biscuits. You are welcome to bring any other food and drink with you.
How will I get there? Can I drive myself?
Parking is available outside the unit for patients who wish to drive themselves, you will be issued with a parking permit if this is the case. Parking is FREE.
If you are unable to drive yourself then Hospital transport will be provided, at no cost to the patient.
Will I be able to see a Doctor?
Both Consultants visit on a regular basis – Dr Madhu Menon and Dr Dominic Detakats, and we always have access to Doctors at Royal Stoke.
You will also have regular clinic appointments here in the unit’s clinic rooms. Here you can discuss any issues and have a full clinic review.
